Mother Nature smiled upon the California wine harvest in 2012. The year began with a mild spring that led to a good fruit set in the vineyards. The summer was near perfect-no major hot spells, but enough warmth to ripen the fruit nicely. The incredible fall weather brought warm temperatures, but again no significant heat waves. All the fruit enjoyed a long, slow ripening process which provided the grapes with well-balanced chemistries and an intensity of flavor. Picking time during harvest came normally due to the abundance of sunshine in September and October. Winemaker Jesse Inman states, "Overall, the quality of the 2012 vintage has really been special and the fruit is rich, ripe and concentrated. The Pinot Noirs are a definite highlight for the year as they show true varietal flavor." NOTE: You must be 21 to order this product.
